This phase is scheduled for completion by mid-2027, which will provide the necessary data for making an informed decision on the next steps.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to her, Serbia should build the necessary institutional, regulatory, and professional capacities by 2032 to select a technology and enter the construction phase, with the ultimate goal of having the first nuclear power plant online around 2040.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Cooperation with France and the IAEA<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0110edovi\u0107 Handanovi\u0107 announced that a high-level delegation from the French utility EDF will soon visit Serbia, where a letter of intent is expected to be signed. The cooperation will include the preparation of four key studies focusing on human resources, legislative framework analysis, and public opinion surveys. Furthermore, she highlighted the importance of technical support from the IAEA through scholarship programs, training, and the development of safety standards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Nuclear energy provides a solid base for the next 50 years.
