Dok su se klimatske promene tradicionalno merile kroz akumulaciju gasova u atmosferi (stock), zaga\u0111enje azotom i fosforom mereno je kroz godi\u0161nje emisije (flow). Tim profesora Hevona Mekd\u017eona primenio je isti standard \u201eprotoka\u201c na ugljen-dioksid, \u010dime je prvi put omogu\u0107eno direktno pore\u0111enje te\u017eine razli\u010ditih ekolo\u0161kih problema na istoj analiti\u010dkoj osnovi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rezultati su jasni: da bi se porast globalne temperature zadr\u017eao u okviru 1,5\u00b0C, \u010dove\u010danstvo mora dramati\u010dno da smanji godi\u0161nji \u201eprotok\u201c emisija. Iako tehnolo\u0161ka re\u0161enja za dekarbonizaciju postoje ve\u0107 dve decenije, istra\u017eiva\u010di upozoravaju da se ona ne implementiraju dovoljno brzo da bi se spre\u010dilo duboko naru\u0161avanje planetarnih granica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Integrisane strategije dekarbonizacije<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Profesore Mekd\u017eon isti\u010de da ova studija poma\u017ee u postavljanju jasnijih politi\u010dkih prioriteta. Umesto izolovanih re\u0161enja, on poziva na integrisane strategije koje istovremeno uzimaju u obzir zaga\u0111enje ugljenikom, azotom i fosforom.
