Zamenom klju\u010dnih delova \u2014 uklju\u010duju\u0107i 480 gorivnih kanala, 960 zavr\u0161nih elemenata i 8 generatora pare \u2014 radni vek reaktora se produ\u017eava za dodatnih 30 do 35 godina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A uspe\u0161ni remont bloka 3 usledio je nakon \u0161to je sli\u010dan proces pro\u0161le godine zavr\u0161en na \u0161estom bloku ove elektrane. Kanadski in\u017eenjeri isti\u010du da je klju\u010d uspeha bio u primeni \u201enau\u010denih lekcija\u201c sa prethodnih blokova i kori\u0161\u0107enju inovativnih alata koji su dramati\u010dno pove\u0107ali efikasnost radne snage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ministar energetike Ontarija, Stephen Lecce, nazvao je ovo \u201ekanadskom pri\u010dom o uspehu\u201c, isti\u010du\u0107i da investicije u revitalizaciju nuklearke Bruce podr\u017eavaju 22.000 radnih mesta i doprinose ekonomiji sa oko 3 milijarde ameri\u010dkih dolara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A kona\u010dni cilj programa \u201eProject 2030\u201c je da se inovacijama i modernizacijom pove\u0107a ukupni kapacitet lokacije na rekordnih 7.000 megavata do po\u010detka naredne decenije, \u010dime Bruce Power ostaje jedan od najve\u0107ih svetskih centara \u010diste energije.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Nakon \u0161to je regulatorno telo (CNSC) dalo \u201ezeleno svetlo\u201c, fokus se sada pomera na punjenje reaktora gorivom (ukupno 5.760 paketa goriva), a povratak Bloka 3 na mre\u017eu o\u010dekuje se u narednim mesecima.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ina\u010de, u ovoj elektrani su instalirani CANDU reaktori &#8211; kanadski dizajn i po mnogo \u010demu jedan od najzanimljivijih reaktorskih dizajna. U pitanju su reaktori hla\u0111eni i moderirani te\u0161kom vodom i zbog njenih izuzetnih moderatorskih karakteristika i visoke neutronske ekonomije CANDU reaktori koriste prirodni (neoboga\u0111eni) uranijum. Uz to, imaju sposobnost zamene goriva tokom rada \u0161to u mnogome pove\u0107ava i ekonomi\u010dnost.
