Foto: Wikimedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Kancelarija za nuklearnu regulativu (Office for Nuclear Regulation &#8211; ONR) saop\u0161tila je da je nuklearna elektrana Hartlepool mora da pobolj\u0161a zdravstvene i bezbednosne performanse, ali je i precizirano da &#8211; uprkos tome \u0161to se nala\u017ee pove\u0107aninivo opreza &#8211; je lokacija kojom upravlja EDF i dalje bezbedna za rad te da ova odluka nema veze sa nedavnom odlukom o produ\u017eenju radne dozvole za jednu godinu.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>KOnkretno, BBC pi\u0161e da elektrana mora da pobolj\u0161a performanse u tri oblasti: konvencionalno zdravlje i bezbednost, broj incidenata na lokaciji i broj incidenata koji se ti\u010du nuklearne bezbednosti.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ina\u010de, nuklearna elektrana Hartlepool otvorena je 1983. godine i sadr\u017ei dva gasno hla\u0111ena reaktora (Advanced Gas Cooled Reactor &#8211; AGR) ukupne snage 1,2 gigavata. AGR reaktori su, ina\u010de, evolucini razvoj takozvanih MAGNOX reaktora, britanskih reaktora moderiranih grafitom u kojima je fluid za razmenu toplote (rashladni fluid) ugljendioksid. Smatralo se da bi ovakav dizajn trebalo da bude ne\u0161to efikasniji zbog veoma visokih temperatura fluida za rashla\u0111ivanje i zbog \u010dinjenice da se izmena goriva (rifjulovanje) mo\u017ee vr\u0161iti bez ga\u0161enja reaktora.
