Foto: Wikimedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Do nesre\u0107e je do\u0161lo zbog kombinacije dizajnerskih gre\u0161aka i gre\u0161aka operatera: jedan od ventila za regulaciju pritiska na primarnom ciklusu vode se zaglavio te se nivo vode u reaktorskoj posudi smanjio \u0161to je otkrilo gorivne elemente. Reakcija osoblja elektrane je bila neadekvatna pa je do\u0161lo i do delimi\u010dnog otapanja (partial metdown) reaktora. Naime, kompanija Mikrosoft \u0107e <a href=\"https:\/\/nuklearnaperspektiva.com\/index.php\/2024\/09\/23\/mikrosoft-restartuje-tmi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">finansirati<\/a> restartovanje tog reaktora i iz njega \u0107e u doglednoj budu\u0107nosti napajati svoje centre podataka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"832\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/nuklearnaperspektiva.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/7447158496_1fd5f18de6_k-832x1024.jpg\" alt=\"Poseta TMI nakon incidenta. Foto: NRC, Flickr<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Ina\u010de, scenario topljenja reaktora je jedan od scenarija koji operatere nuklearnih elektrana najvi\u0161e pla\u0161i, a i za koji se oni &#8211; upravo zbog toga &#8211; najvi\u0161e i spremaju. Kada reaktor izgubi te\u010dnost za hla\u0111enje (a u reaktorima sa vodom pod pritiskom to je laka voda) dolazi do nagomilavanja toplotne energije u gorivnim elementima koja veoma brzo mo\u017ee dovesti do topljenja gorivnih \u0161ipki. Ovo je opasnost \u010dak i onda kada je reaktor skremovan (uga\u0161en) jer \u010dak i kada se zaustavi fisija koja je primarni izvor energije &#8211; u gorivnim elementima dolazi do nagomilavanja rezidualne toplotne nergije: fisioni proizvodi koji nastaju nakon fisije, prolaze svoje procese raspada (decay) koji proizvode toplotu &#8211; otprilike, oko 6% instalirane snage reaktora &#8211; i zbog toga se reaktor mora hladiti <em>\u010dak i kada se ugasi<\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"646\" src=\"https:\/\/nuklearnaperspektiva.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/7447158876_191514fa92_c.jpg\" alt=\"Poseta TMI nakon incidenta. Foto: NRC, Flickr<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Iz tog razloga, za svaku nuklearnu elektranu je od klju\u010dnog zna\u010daja da ima i spoljno napajanje energije za pokretanje pumpi za vodu te nekoliko rezervnih pumpi. O ozbiljnosti ovakvih incidenata govori i \u010dinjenica da je u dva od tri velika nuklearna incidenta (TMI i Fuku\u0161ima) do\u0161lo do topljenja sadr\u017eaja reaktora. U novije vreme se upravo zbog toga pristupilo razvijanju sistema koji bi trebalo da takve scenarije ili spre\u010de ili umanje njegove posledice. Pa stoga navedimo dva: veliki broj savremenih reaktora se dizajnira tako da mo\u017ee da ima takozvano pasvino hla\u0111enje, odnosno da reaktor mo\u017ee da se dovoljno ohladi prirodnom konvekcijom.
