Foto: Wikimedia<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>U pitanju su reaktorske jedinice Hej\u0161am (Heysham) 2 i Tornes (Torness) kojima bi radni vek trebalo da bude <a href=\"https:\/\/www.edfenergy.com\/media-centre\/edf-confirms-boost-uks-clean-power-targets-nuclear-life-extensions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">produ\u017een<\/a> za dve godine &#8211; do marta 2030. i Hej\u0161am 1 i Hartlipul (Heartlepool) kojima se predvi\u0111a produ\u017eetak od godinu dana &#8211; do 2027. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/business\/energy\/edf-extend-operating-life-four-british-nuclear-plants-2024-12-04\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">javlja<\/a> Rojters. Zajedno, ove nuklearne elektrane imaju ukupnu snagu od 4,6 gigavata i obezbe\u0111uju dovoljno energije za oko sedam miliona doma\u0107instava.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sve gorepomenute nuklearne elektrane su ina\u010de, bile predvi\u0111ene za zatvaranje 2027. godine, ali usled velikog zastoja u instaliranju novih kapaciteta poslednjih decenija &#8211; Britanija \u0107e morati da razmotri produ\u017eenje rada ovih reaktora.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ina\u010de, veoma je nestandardno da se radni vek reaktora produ\u017eava za samo dve ili \u010dak jednu godinu, ali to se radi zbog specifi\u010dnog dizajna reaktora koji su u pitanju: u pitanju su AGR (Advanced Gas-cooled Reactors) koji su moderirani grafitom i hla\u0111eni gasom i koji su evolucija prvih britanskih komercijalnih reaktora MAGNOX dizajna. Ovi su se reaktori, me\u0111utim, ispostavili kao ekonomski nedovoljno isplativi odnosno nekonkurentni reaktorima hla\u0111enim i moderiranim lakom vodom.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Upravo zbog toga se danas u Britaniji uvode upravo reaktori sa lakom vodom pod pritiskom (Pressurized Water Reactor &#8211; PWR) &#8211; to se u prvom redu misli na Sizvel C &#8211; koji su znatno \u201czgodniji\u201d i za produ\u017eavanje radnog veka.
