A testiranje tih sklopova je pokazalo da je gorivo pokazalo o\u010dekivane rezultate i odli\u010dne performanse, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.framatome.com\/medias\/worldwide-first-framatomes-enhanced-accident-tolerant-fuel-assemblies-first-to-complete-lifecycle-operations-in-us\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">saop\u0161tio<\/a> je Framatome.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Goriva tolerantna na nesre\u0107e koriste napredne materijale za oblaganje i dizajn peleta zarad pove\u0107anje bezbednosti i performansi nuklearnih goriva. Osim \u0161to bi trebalo da budu otpornija na takozvani incident gubitka hla\u0111enja (sve tri industrijske nesre\u0107e u istoriji su na ovaj ili onaj na\u010din uzrokovane gubitkom hla\u0111enja) time \u0161to \u0107e imati ve\u0107u toleranciju na visoke temperatrue te time pove\u0107ati sigurnosnu marginu, ova tehnologija bi tako\u0111e trebalo da pobolj\u0161a performanse postoje\u0107ih nuklearnih elektrana: o\u010dekije se da \u0107e ova thenologija omogu\u0107iti da se gorivo du\u017ee i efikasnije koristi u reaktorima \u010dime bi se produ\u017eilo vreme izme\u0111u dopunjavanja gorivom. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sklopovi su proizvedeni u Framatomovom proizvodnom pogonu u Ri\u010dlandu u Va\u0161ingtonu, a svaki gorivni sklop je oblo\u017een naprednim hromiranim premazom i dodatim omota\u010dem od legure cirkonijuma dok su i gorivni briketi tako\u0111e hromirani. Oplata presvu\u010dena hromom pobolj\u0161ava otpornost na oksidaciju pri visokim temperaturama i smanjuje stvaranje vodonika u ina\u010de veoma slabo verovatnom slu\u010daju gubitka hla\u0111enja reaktora.
